The University of Kansas (KU) is an institutional member of the University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS). More than 40 faculty and permanent staff members have organized themselves as KUGIS Stakeholders. The KUGIS Steering Committee represents 20 academic departments, schools, or research centers and actively coordinates geographic information science activities across the campus.
